My Story
As a college athlete, I struggled with my mental health, battling depression, anxiety, along with multiple eating disorders. I had no sense of identity or foundations of faith, which later led to holding a distorted belief system, and seeking fulfilment in all the things of the world. When I gave my life to Jesus in 2021, everything began to change…
I wrote FOLLY, because in Luke 9:23-25, Jesus asks us to take up our cross daily. He asks us to lay down our worldy desires, to surrender old ways and habits and to follow HIM.
I believe in the power of story and that it is through the sharing of our own unique experiences, that we gain tremendous insight into not only human nature, but also the abundant resiliency of the human spirit. It is my hope that FOLLY gifts you encouragement and inspires you to pursue truth by stepping into a relationship with Jesus.

While most people in university were going on dates or hanging with friends between classes, Kelsey was unknowingly entering the underground world of sex work. Juggling the demands of being a college athlete while battling with depression and her own self-worth, Kelsey was enticed the first time she heard her college professor mutter the words “sugar baby.” In search of money and attention, Kelsey found herself slowly entangled in an industry where she would inadvertently be groomed, ensnared, and ultimately, exploited.
Moving to Texas after college, Kelsey scaled her business and began jet-setting around the world, clinging to the illusion that she was in control—that is, until an encounter with the Holy Spirit changed everything.
In Folly, Daniels paints an intricate portrait of her path into sex work and the difficult journey to untangle herself from the lure of an industry that had shaped her.
